Multi-media Artist Arica Hilton, is founder and president of Hilton | Asmus Contemporary, a fine art gallery in Chicago.
With her recent series, I Flow Like Water, Hilton has created a body of work that brings awareness to the billions of pounds of plastic weighing down our oceans. While Hilton’s works are inspired by the European Romanticists, her modern depictions incorporate found plastic materials into cool painted waterscapes. While Hilton is not concerned with traditional landscapes per se, her work continues to share a feeling of tranquility, and the sense of light, as she reaches towards the more ubiquitous aspects of nature — to earth, water, and sky, and to the star forming galaxies of the universe.
