This year’s Chicago River Nibi (Water) Walk was scheduled to take place on March 22, 2020 but was postponed until further notice. This year’s event, hosted by the American Indian Center, was scheduled to take off from Erickson Woods Picnic Grove, in Winnetka -- for a 17-mile ceremonial walk along the North Branch of the Chicago River. The Nibi Walk was to be led once again this year, by Anishinaabe Grandmother, Sharon Day (Singing Wolf), also the Executive Director of the Indigenous Peoples Task Force and Founder of NibiWalk.
